Peeta and Katniss reveled at the sunlight that warmed their faces as they woke up. They had greeted each other Good Morning and cuddled a little bit more before getting out of bed.
It had been exactly 6 years since the Rebellion and everyone had returned to their normal lives.
Well, as normal as it could be.
Both had slipped into their usual routine. Wake up, Peeta helps Katniss out of the bed, both would talk to her growing stomach, have breakfast, bake/desperately trying to learn how to bake-
“WHAT THE HELL ABERNATHY!”
Oh, and don’t forget that.
“Why is it that everything I do is a mistake to you, Princess!?”
“Why don’t you ask yourself? Did the alcohol finally reached inside your brain!? Are you blind that you can’t even see what’s right in front of you?”
“Look, I tried everything-and I mean everything!- I can to cook all this.”
“Doesn’t look like it!”
“Pssh…As if you can do better!”
“I can!”
“Really? The cupcake you gave last week to Katniss and Peeta doesn’t even look like a cupcake! Have you seen how they looked at you when they accepted that box?”
“Well, at least it wasn’t as worse as this! I mean really, half of the food is burnt and I don’t even know what that thing is!”
“At least they’re real food! Not like the ones you have at that lovely Capitol of yours.”
“At least in the Capitol, people are actually sensitive. A white rose! Really! Are you serious?”
“You should be thankful that I even picked you a flower! Do you know how much those kids laughed at me?!”
Peeta and Katniss just love mornings.
